What Is the Buddy Program?
Friendship. Faith. Community.
Gateway's Buddy Program serves individuals with disabilities ages 16 through adult through Christ-centered relationships and inclusive activities.
Through monthly events and gatherings, participants have opportunities to build friendships, grow spiritually, try new things, and simply enjoy being together.
Our goal is to create experiences where people are welcomed, valued, included, and encouraged to participate.
What We Do Together
There's Always Something to Share
Buddy Program gatherings can look a little different each time. That's part of the fun.
Creativity
Crafts, music, and hands-on activities give everyone opportunities to create, participate, and have fun.
Fun
Games, special activities, and outings give us plenty of reasons to laugh and make memories together.
Service
Service projects give participants opportunities to use their gifts and make a difference for someone else.

More Than an Event on the Calendar
The Buddy Program is about relationships. Activities give us something to do together, but friendship and belonging are at the heart of every gathering.
Whether we're sharing a meal, playing a game, working on a project, heading somewhere together, or simply spending time talking and laughing, those moments help build community.
Sometimes the best part of getting together is simply getting to be together.

Buddy Program events are planned with inclusion and accessibility in mind so participants can engage in ways that work for them.
Every person brings different strengths, interests, and needs. We want our gatherings to be places where people are treated with dignity, encouraged to participate, and given room to be themselves.
